Warning:

If you know me you know I am a wordy person, I always have a story to tell and I want moments fully documented. I want my kids to look back and have all the details, you can think of this site as our family journal, or more importantly the momma diary.

Good friends, Good food, Good laughs, Good movie and Goodbye...

On Thursday night Brent watched the girls so I could go to the midnight premiere as well as a preshow party for New Moon with this great bunch of gals!

Amanda went all out with decorations:
Setting the mood for any Edward

Or Jacob fan:

And food:

The drinks have different blood types on them, mine was Trena's blood type, she thought that was kind of cool.

She even made up questions for a New Moon Cranium game. Here she is:

And Kianna and her graphic designer hubby, created these fabulous shirts for us all to wear!

Thursday was also Katie's Birthday, lucky girl!

Amanda also made us yummy "Doggie Bags" for the movie: which consisted of kit kats, popcorn and mini bloodsucker straws.

After all of this what more could you ask for, the MOVIE! And what can I say it was Awesome, loved it more than Twilight and I got to watch it sitting next to this great gal, Maria.

What a way to say Goodbye to friends, to Arizona. I am sad to be leaving Arizona in 2 weeks, but I am glad that I got to go out with this last awesome Hurrah!!!

THANKS GALS FOR THE BEST NIGHT OUT I'VE HAD IN YEARS, WISH I WAS GOING TO BE HERE FOR ECLIPSE. AMANDA, THANKS A MILLION FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK AND FOR THE FUN NIGHT YOU HAD FOR US. KIANNA THANKS FOR THE AWESOME SHIRTS. EVERYONE ELSE, THANKS FOR THE FOOD, FRIENDSHIP, PHOTOS, YOUR SMILING FACES AND THE MEMORIES!!!

Desert Botanical Gardens (11/14/09)

Since we don't know for sure when we are moving, only that it will be prior to Christmas, we felt we better take advantage of the Cultural Pass at least one more time. We had wanted to see the Desert Botanical Gardens, but did not want to spend the $15 a person to get in, so thanks to the cultural pass we all got in for FREE! FREE, don't you just love that word, I do!

The Gardens are beautiful and of course unique to Arizona, plenty of Cactus' and Wildflowers, we kept commenting how much Grandpa would love to visit the gardens.

Here are some pics of our day, we spent about 3 hours there and Ava loved all the fresh air and walking around outside.

Mom and her girls

I told myself to remember what kind of tree's leaves she was smashing, but I don't remember. So here is Katrena being an Indian woman.

Lunch with Gary, Jody, Cameron and Caleb (11/7/09)

After Trena's art show we met up with Gary, Jody, Cameron and Caleb for lunch at Trena's favorite restaurant Sweet Tomatoes. The Sweet Tomatoes in Tempe is right next to a little pond with ducks, turtles, and fish, its very pretty and relaxing. Although it only took us about 45 minutes to eat, we then sat outside visiting and letting the kids run around for another 2 1/2 hours. We love getting together and visiting with them and Trena and her cousin Caleb play so well together, we will sure miss them when we move.

Trena and Caleb

Ava Lulu, this cute little girls knees were black and blue by the time we got home from all the running around and falling down.

Look at the cute baby turtle at the end of the rock.

Katrena's Art Show (11/7/09)

On 11/7/09 we had the opportunity to go to the Eleanor Rose Children's Art workshop Art Show at ASU. Trena had taken 2 ten week art classes at ASU. My friend Melissa is going to school to be an art teacher and was teaching the class on Saturday mornings and offered to have Trena go with her. The classes are normally a $135 and of course we could not afford that, and Melissa was able to get her into two classes on scholarship, so it was FREE! She loved going and loved driving to and from with Melissa each week. Melissa had to be there an hour before the classes started to set up so Trena would help her then attend her 1 1/2 hour class, they then would have a half hour break and Trena would have a snack, then she was off to her next class. After that 1 1/2 hour class she would help Melissa clean up and they would head home. She had to be up earlier to go to her art class than she did school.

We are so thankful she had this opportunity to go and learn, she learned how to weave yarn, to ink, use water colors, paper mache, pottery, sketch, origami, paint, oil pastels, etc.

Here is her basket that she named "Pinkie, Pinkie"

Katrena with her 8-9 year old class teachers: Stephanie and Alyssa

Her ink art, "Disco Mania"

A piece of her pottery, "Polka Dotty"

Water colors, "Fishalopia"

Paper mache mask, "Purple Indian"

With her other teachers, another Stephanie and my friend Melissa

And with her fan club:

And Mom

Katrena had so much fun and it was such a wonderful opportunity. Melissa thank you so much for thinking of her and for all the donuts and other goodies that you bought her.
