Warning:

If you know me you know I am a wordy person, I always have a story to tell and I want moments fully documented. I want my kids to look back and have all the details, you can think of this site as our family journal, or more importantly the momma diary.

We interupt these catch up posts for a special announcement...

That's right we are expecting!!! And we are having a boy!!! He is due to arrive April 21st.

We are 17.5 weeks and everything is looking okay so far. I have waited to make the announcement given my history and if you know me then you know there is never a safe time. This is my 8th pregnancy and the fourth that has made it this far. We are so very excited to have a little boy in our home and look forward losing a little pink and gaining a little blue :)

I had an appointment this morning and asked the tech to please put the gender and gender photo in a sealed envelope. And then, yes it was torture, I took the envelope and a box to my friend Malarie's house. It was a good thing the envelope was out of my hands because I would have peeked it was absolute torture! She then had balloons made and filled the box came to my house as Brent got home from work and took the photo so that we could find out as a whole family!!! It was perfect!

And then mom and dad came home...

Brent and I came home on Sunday and my mom flew out on Tuesday so first up we gave the girls their goodies from Hawaii.

Ava got this adorable Hawaiin Hula outfit for dress up.

Grandma confessed that there was a lot of powdered donut eating while we were gone and that the girls loved to make powdered mustaches.

And then we made another trip to the pumpkin patch, where we went to the petting zoo

Played in the bounce house

Rode the swings, this was the highlight for Ava

and went down the bouncy slide, but watching the girls go up the rope was the funnest.

Icecream and goodbyes to the company

They loved the magnets on the fridge

Uncle Tay is such a fun guy!

The girls sure loved having their cousins and Aunt and Uncle here and Trena really loved having aunt Kay do her hair every morning!

Now if only they'd come visit when I'm home!

Chuck E. Cheese with Grandma and Company

Monday brought dinner at Chuck E. Cheese because the Pumpkin Patch hadn't opened yet.

Ava really wanted to play this game Uncle Taylor stood behind her and jumped and she thought it was her doing all the work.
