Warning:

If you know me you know I am a wordy person, I always have a story to tell and I want moments fully documented. I want my kids to look back and have all the details, you can think of this site as our family journal, or more importantly the momma diary.

Halloween...

We went to our wards Trunk or Treat for Halloween this year. We had chili and cornbread and then they had a contest for costumes and Ava actually one for cutest Baby Costume. Afterwards we went trunk or treating outside and the girls got candy, stickers and glow sticks, and bracelets.

School Party, Halloween Dinner, and the Girls First Haunted House...

Friday the 30th was a fun filled Halloween day!!!

Although I didn't sign up to be the home room mom this year I couldn't miss out on all the fun, so I went to the school to play too.
They had their annual costume parade, lots of goodies, and some games too. Trena and all her little buddies had a good time and I was glad I could once again be there.

Next up was our traditional Halloween Dinner, I didn't take any photos due to our living situation and the lack of Halloween Dinner cuteness. We had pumpkin brains, seaweed and puss, witches teeth and bats blood to drink, and of course we had to make a "Ghost" instead of toast. And for desert we had mud in a tortoise shell. I forgot the monster's toe and was quite sad this year.

Next we headed to a free haunted house (they take donations), it was right here in Glendale and was very good for being free. Trena was scared out of her mind and pleading to not go in. Once she was inside she screamed like crazy and one of the actors actually said "sheesh, I didn't want to make her cry", no worries she didn't cry or wet her pants, but hurt my ears and arms as she clung to me in a death grip. About 3/4ths of the way through Brent asked if we could switch kids obvioulsly mine was the funner kid. Ava was all smiles, not sure what the heck was going on, Brent did say that she jumped a few time. It must have been a success because as we were leaving Katrena never said that she didn't want to go to a Haunted House again.

Pumpkin Carving (Thursday October 29th)

Tonight we carved pumpkins. Trena drew her own face, cleaned it out and carved it on her own (I just had to help pop the pieces out). I think she did an excellant job and it turned out really cute. Before Ava headed to bed and we started carving we took some cute photos of her by the pumpkins.

Tolmachoff Farms: pumpkin patch, petting zoo and corn maze

On Friday the 23rd we went to Tolmachoff Farms, what fun the girls had. We were able to see baby chicks, piglets, cows, goats, horses, ostrich, and bunnies. They played on the playground and in the corn, rode jumbo trikes and went through the corn maze that was shaped like a rooster. It was fun just to spend the time as a family.
