Our Halloween fun started off with our ward Trunk or Treat:

The next stop on the Halloween train was the parade at Katrena's school. Trena's school doesn't allow you to dress up for Halloween so the week prior to Halloween is the literacy parade where the kids dress up as their favorite book character.

Trena was Lagoona Blue from Monster High, I didn't want to have to come up with a second costume and thought maybe since this internet show had become so popular there was a book now. As luck would have it there is, 3 of them! The little girl behind her is Hannah from our ward and she was Judy Moody.

And then it was Halloween Night!!!
Ava our adorable "Pirate Princess"
I had so much fun making her costume. Obviously a pink and black tutu for the skirt with leggings and black boots. For the top I sewed together black and white knit and lined it with black knit. I put a grommet in the center front and down the two sides and then crisscrossed with ribbon, making a halter style in the front and tying in the back. My friend found the idea on etsy and I LOVE how it turned out.
