Warning:

If you know me you know I am a wordy person, I always have a story to tell and I want moments fully documented. I want my kids to look back and have all the details, you can think of this site as our family journal, or more importantly the momma diary.

Day 2 (no worries, I won't go through each day of our trip)

On this sad day T left us to go to Scott's house for spring break (however we do steal her for a few hours on Tuesday).

Goodbye loves with Aunt Kayleigh

Little miss was still very feverish and spent a lot of time a sleep in my arms, wrapped in a blanket (which she hates) or naked (which she loves), can you tell?

Goodbye loves with Grandpa

Tyler and his wife stopped by on their way back to Idaho and had some yummy homemade southern chicken and dumplings made by Grammy Ann and Aunt Alice, this is one of my favorite foods from childhood.

Since all of us kids were together (hardly ever happens) we figured we should have one "kid" photo.

MyAunt Traci came over later after dinner and Ty had left and we made birthstone bracelets, I'll post a photo of mine later.

Other than that it was a lazy day, I didn't go to church because I stayed home with the monkey.

Off to Utah for Spring Break...

Somehow we managed to pick up my mom on Tuesday the 16th and left for Utah on Friday the 19th, and arriving there on Saturday and did not take one single photo on my camera... I am really not sure how this happened, so I will have to get photos from mom.We had a whirl wind few days getting ready for our 2 week trip and also mom had never seen our house or city, so we trying to get all the sights in and feed her good things. We loved watching movies and snuggling with Grandma, having grandma help with homework. The best part was having grandma 100% to our selves and not having to share her with the rest of the world.

My mom drove up north with me and the girls so I would not have to drive alone; because daddy had to stay home and work :(

I have to say that was the funnest car trip of my life, it flew by. The girls were so good, my mom and I just talked and talked and we sang and acted silly. We stopped in Cedar and ate at one of my favorite restaurants from when I lived there. We also took Trena around and showed her where I lived when I was first married, pregnant with her, and the house she came home from the hospital too. I also showed her where her dad worked and where we lived when we met. Then the hunt was on to find the hospital she was born at. I knew that it had not been used as a hospital since shortly after we moved and that it was tucked away in a neighborhood and it was dark but we persevered and we found it! Katrena loved the walk down memory lane, I had planned to take a picture of her at each of the places, but it was so dark we decided to bag it.

Here is cheesy so happy to be out of the car, but not so happy to see all the strangers that quickly surrounded her.

When we arrived at my parents house there was my dad, and both sisters as well as my grandma and her sister Alice. We all then went to lunch at Famous Dave's where we met up with my Grandma and Grandpa Watts, my dads brother Wade, his wife Traci and two of their kids Megan and Preston, my brother in law Taylor, my brother Tyler and his wife Joy as well as my sisters BFF Chelsea. What a FUN lunch we had. We really only had T that day and wanted to make sure she got to see all of her family.

Taylor, Katrena, and Kayleigh

The cousins: Katrena, Megan, Ava, and Preston, and of course myself. Traci and I both had the same sad thought while looking at this photo, Ava and Preston are only 4 months apart. And that is the same distance Megan and Braxton would have been. Oh how much fun the four of them would have had together.

The girls, you gotta love how wet Ava's shirt is. Its from constant crying, and the constant need for the binky because she was scared, but then she came down with a fever that night and proceeded to cut 5 teeth. Yes five, she decided to throw in some 2 year molars. She hasn't cut a tooth since last August.

Cute little line backer Preston

Great Grandma and Grandpa Watts with Katrena, when T was little she'd call my grandpa the grandpa with the mus mache and move her finger back and forth under her nose.

Wade, Traci and their kids with Katrena, only their son Tyler is missing

We had such a fabulous time visiting with all of our family and then we jumped in the car and headed over to Grandma and Grandpa North's house and mom forgot the camera. But waiting for us their was Grandma and Grandpa of course and Great Grandma Hansen, Brent's sister Shelly, her husband Chezlyn, and 2 of their kids Shayla and Kyndra. We stayed for about 3 hours and the girls loved playing together. Shayla and Trena are about 9 months a part and love to be together. Kyndra just turned 4, and is beginning to really play along with them. She has the sweetest little bashful personality where Shayla is so much more outgoing. Katrena is always so sad when we go to Utah and she doesn't have enough time to have a sleepover with her cousin at Grandma's.

Grandma and Karey

So, to continue on in the saga of the North household, weeks later still telling the stories...

After we left Knotts on March 13th(early, see previous post) we headed to meet my mom and baby sister at their hotel by Disneyland. They were in town for 5 days while my sister Karey was competing at a National Drill Team Competition. They took multiple first places and a second and a third I believe. They really did awesome!

We went to dinner at Shakey's, the pizza and salad was very yummy. I've decided you can rarely go wrong with pizza. Then we headed to downtown Disney to see the sites and have fun. Ava did really good going to my Mom and Karey having not seen them since Thanksgiving.

They had fun dancing to the live music and watching the fireworks

We had to go in the lego store and see all the cool things made out of legos.

And of course try every cute pair of mouse ears you can find on one adorable little girl.

and every funky hat you could find on the big girl

and then just be as silly as you can be with your Aunt

Until your mom and dad ruin all your fun and tell you that we have an hour drive home, give Aunt Karey kisses we'll see her in Utah the following Saturday and give grandma kisses we are coming back to get her on Tuesday so she can come play at our house! Yeah!

Knotts Berry Farm

We went to Knotts on March 13th, another fun filled day. We love Knotts! We always try to see a show while we are there, this time we saw the wild west show, the girls both loved it. The actors even gave Trena a bullet after wards.

Some of A's current favorites...

Shoes, shoes and more shoes...

Moms shoes

Why not dad's and sissy's at the same time?

She loves shoes so much that every morning when I am getting her dressed she just repeatedly asks for shoes and then has to pick out which shoes she wants to wear on her own. If we are at the store and she see's the shoes, she has to try on the shoes and then cries when I make her take them off. I guess she is a girl after my own heart, you should see my new red heels! I guess dad better start Ava's shoe fund.

We also love accesories, necklaces, bracelets, headbands (most often worn around the waist) and scarves. The best part is that she is always so excited to show us her pretties!

She obviously didn't do this one herself she did have some sister help, but she looks so stinking cute.

One of our new found favorite things to do is climb in the dryer, this happens every time we do wash. She takes drinks in the dryer with her and books, she has even been found in the dryer with a blanket, book and a drink. Silly monkey.

Pinkalicious fun...

We love the pinkalicious, purplicious books at our house, so cute and fun.

Recently they had pinkalicious toys in the burger king kids meals so I decided to pick up Trena from school and head there. We had kids meals and got a fun pinkalicous toy and played in the playland for about an hour.

Next we made pinkalicious cupcakes, with strawberry flavoring they were so yummy that when I was putting them in the tuperware container Ava was diving at it mouth first, it was hilarious!

I love having moments like these with my girls

This crazy monkey will eat anything...

Ava like most kids eats like a champ some days and not so much on others, typical toddler. She is so funny though because she likes foods that other kids that other kids won't even look at. She LOVES red pepper hummus, pesto, salmon, tilapia. She hates white potatoes, mashed or baked, isn't this a food all kids like? On the other hand she loves yams, baked or mashed. She loves all vegetables and fruits, especially berries, except tomatoes. She wants to eat salad so bad and always asks for it, but then can't get it chewed up and swallowed so she spits it out, but loves the taste. She also loves fiber select wheat thins, go-gurt, homemade blueberry waffles, peanut butter, multi grain cherrios, sour cream and raisins. However she will eat so many raisins that she is up all night with gas. I am sure there are many other yummy foods that she loves, but I can't think of them right now.

We love our little hungry mungry girl and I love to watch her eating wheat thins dipped in hummus.
