If you know me you know I am a wordy person, I always have a story to tell and I want moments fully documented. I want my kids to look back and have all the details, you can think of this site as our family journal, or more importantly the momma diary.

Fathers Day (6/19)...

Fathers Day was a little crazy and out of the norm since we were on vacation. It was a definite plus we got to spend the day with our dad's though.

We woke up and us girls (kay and Tay slept over at my parents too) were going to make the three dad's breakfast, but my dad loves to cook breakfast so he ended up cooking for all of us!

We then got ready and went to church, it is always so fun to go to our old ward and see all of our old friends. After sacrament we went to visit with Brent's grandma and then to his parents home for a couple of hours.

At 4 o'clock we headed to my Aunt and Uncle's house where we had a family dinner to celebrate Father's Day and my uncle's birthday. Ava had a great time playing with her cousins.

Fathers Day (6/20/10)

Father's Day was a little different this year, Brent's cousins had come up the day before so that they could all go to the Dream Theater/Iron Maiden concert and they didn't get home until really late. On Father's Day morning we were all up by 8 and I made all the guys and Kelly's son Matt, waffles. So no breakfast in bed. They were on the road by 9:30 and we were lazy for a little bit, Ava gave her dad a book they could read together and Trena had made him a card and truffles before she left for Utah. As for my gift we discussed it before hand and decided that the concert and then another concert in August to see Rush would be his Father's Day presents this year.

We then got ready for church, went to church where all the dad's were given cookies and Ava made him another card. When we came home we called our dad's and we all had a lazy afternoon. It was then time for dinner and I made Brent his requested dinner of salmon on the grill, corn on the cob, and rice. We then had Armaretto cheesecake for dessert.

Although it wasn't that exciting of a day, I hope that Brent had a nice relaxing day and that he knows how much he is loved. We are so thankful for him and for all that he does for each of us each and every day. I am so thankful that he works hard and allows me the luxury of being able to stay home with the girls. We are truly grateful to have Brent in our lives.

Babe I love you, the girls love you. Thank you for taking care of us and being there for us.

June in Utah

I've already pretty much posted about our Utah trip, and the main events got their own posts, but here are a few other photos from June in Utah that I wanted to share.

When we arrived in UT, my mom had decorated our sweet Braxton's grave to welcome us home.

This is Ava discovering the waterspout in Grandma and Grandpa's back yard, she was having so much fun I just had to let her do it.

Father's Day was on the June 21st and her is Ava and her Daddy

My Dad opening his gift from all of the kids, 2 Charley Pride concert tickets, he said this was one of the best concerts he'd ever been too

My aunt Traci with Ava and her daughter Megan

We also went to Chuck E. Cheese while we were there with my mom, sisters and brother in law Taylor.

Kayleigh brought back these cute dresses for us from their honeymoon, hers was teal, mine brown, Ava's red, T's hot pink, Karey's white with hot pink flowers, and I can't remember what color my Sister in law Joy's was or Kay's sister in law Katie's was, but they were cute and it was sweet of them to think of us. I think the girls look adorable in theirs.
