After we left my parents everyone was still getting ready at Mom and Dad North's house and we were waiting for Brent's sister and her family to arrive, we still hadn't gone down stairs to see what Santa had brought Ava. (We were sad that Santa went to Scott and Stephanie's for Katrena).
Tradition for me growing up was that Santa brought three presents because that is what Jesus received from the Wise Men. The second part of the tradition was that the presents were unwrapped, this was done I believe so that my parents could see the pure joy on our faces as we walked into the room. And second to save time from having to open additional presents. The third part of the Santa tradition was that we could not enter the living/family room until we were all awake (this was always a challenge, trying to get my Dad out of bed) and lined up youngest to oldest on the stairs. My mom and dad would then go ahead of us into the living room with the camera where they would ooh and aww over all the wonderful presents while we stood on the stairs anticipating what was in the other room. Then they would call us in and we would all run in to see what we received with mom taking lots of pictures. We each had our own section of furniture with our presents and stocking. And that was where we sat the rest of Christmas morning opening presents.
I had already chosen to continue these traditions with Katrena and Brent is okay with most of them, but he does not like the fact that Santa doesn't wrap presents. Well my Theory is if Santa's little or very tall in this case "Elf" wants to wrap presents then step up to the plate. I personally like the look of pure joy as the kids walk into a room lit up only by the Christmas tree to see what goodies Santa has brought.

tights, hair bows, teether, bottle cleaner and books, books, and more books. There was even a special book in there that Daddy had made for her that has her name as well as Katrena's and her two cousins Shayla and Kyndra.
