Warning:

If you know me you know I am a wordy person, I always have a story to tell and I want moments fully documented. I want my kids to look back and have all the details, you can think of this site as our family journal, or more importantly the momma diary.

Moms weekend visit and Mothers Day (5/8/2011-5/11/11)

Mothers Day this year was a little different for us, I was a little bit down and my mom flew in the day before to be with me.

Here is Ava reading my mom her Mothers Day card

If the next two photos are any indication of the kinds of drivers my daughters are going to be, I am officially nervous.
Ava, I think she is going to be a crazy driver too busy telling others some great fabulous story to focus on the road.

Trena may be filled with road rage

Ava's first sleepover...

My friend Malarie and her husband Scott went away for the evening on Thursday June 30th to see a play down in L.A. so we got to keep sweet little Siena at our house for the night.

They were so cute together and there was no fighting! They dropped Siena off at 2:45 and they were off to a running start:

First they played sleepover

Then they played beach, were they pretended to go jump in the water and then hurry out freezing to wrap up in their "towels".

Next they ran and fell to the ground laughing for about 45 minutes!

Crawled through the tunnels.

Then they played school.

next up was dinner and they both actually ate!

Then chalk in the backyard

Bubbles

And of course what's a sleepover without a movie, so we had to watch Sleeping Beauty.

And they were out

The next morning Malarie came to pick up Siena at about 7:45 and she was still sound asleep they played so hard together the night before. When Ava woke up the first thing she said was "where is Siena?"

They were so cute together and I think their first sleepover was a success!

Swim Lesson (6/28/11)

Ava and her BFF Siena started swimming lesson on Tuesday June 28th, they go every morning for 2 weeks. This is the only picture I have as the mommy's have to get in the water too (yipee)! Let me tell you how much I LOVE to get in a swimming suit in front of everyone, but on the plus side I am getting a nice tan :)
I took this picture right before their first lesson started, Siena just wanted to jump in the pool and Ava was not excited about this adventure AT ALL. They both love it now and are learning how to kick, bob, blow bubbles, etc.

San Diego, Temple and Bates Nut Farm (6/27/11)

The temple was closed, but we still stopped to take a picture of this beautiful place. It was the first time I had seen it outside of a picture and it was truly breathtaking.

Our next stop was Bates Nut Farm, were we bought yummy salt water taffy, candy corn and of course, nuts.

They also had some animals you could pet and feed such as donkeys, lambs, goats, llamas, peacock, ostrich, ducks, turkeys, etc. But we spent most of our time with the goats.

The goat eating corn out of Cameron's hair

Ava feeding the goat, she wouldn't just lay the corn in her hand she wanted to hold out one kernal in her hands and the goats would nibble her fingers.

Allie thoroughly enjoyed feeding the goats, especially the baby ones.

We then had lunch at Fatburger and parted ways us back to Apple Valley and them to Phoneix. We really had a great weekend together, I am so glad that our families have such a great time together!

Now just hoping Gary and Jody join us in Hawaii!!!
