Too much fun...

On Thursday after running errands, painting and playing in the pool I had one worn out girl. I put on Horton Hears a Who thinking she could just relax and have some quiet time, not 5 minutes into the movie my little monkey was snoring away.

Ava's paint job...

I was working on a 4th of July craft on Thursday and Ava insisted on helping, she did a pretty good job for it being her first time painting.

Playdate with Siena...

On Wednesday we went to playgroup at the park and it was so stinking hot that we couldn't stay long, so we headed home and let the girls play in the pool.

After swimming they ran around the house playing in their underwear, these girls have their moments, but they sure love to play together!

Naughty Naughty...

This little monkey has decided to hit the terrible two's strongly the month before she turns three!

Refusing to go to sleep, being repeatedly put back in her bed is becoming pretty common. On this particular night Brent held the door closed and after awhile of her trying to get out she went and climbed in her bed, Brent left the door after awhile, and after about 10 more minutes of her saying my name I went in there. Ava then informed me that Daddy locked her in and I said that it was because it was nighttime and that she needed to go to sleep. I told her I'd leave the door open if she went to bed. About an hour later I went to go to bed and this is what I found, Ava laying sound asleep in her doorway...

Goodybye and trip home...

We left early Monday the 20th so we said most of our goodbyes on Sunday. I wasn't as good with my camera this trip, missing out on photos of my dad and mom and grandma Hanson, I also didn't get any good photos of Brent's mom and dad.

On the way home we stopped at the Excalibur in Vegas so we could stretch our legs and Ava could see in the Castle. We were greeted by Spongebob and played one game in which a tiny green bear was won. It only cost us $4 and is probably worth 5 cents.

RUSH is playing there Friday night, and I know my hubs would love to be there...

And lastly this is what happened to our good ole trusty car four lights from our house on our trip home. The focus has served us well from UT to San Fransisco, UT to Phoenix too many times to count, Phoenix to Disneyland, Phoenix to Apple Valley to Salt Lake and back to Phoenix, Phoenix to Apple Valley twice, And Apple Valley to Salt Lake 6 times just to name a few...
We will have had our focus 5 years in August, and it had low miles when we got her.

Fathers Day (6/19)...

Fathers Day was a little crazy and out of the norm since we were on vacation. It was a definite plus we got to spend the day with our dad's though.

We woke up and us girls (kay and Tay slept over at my parents too) were going to make the three dad's breakfast, but my dad loves to cook breakfast so he ended up cooking for all of us!

We then got ready and went to church, it is always so fun to go to our old ward and see all of our old friends. After sacrament we went to visit with Brent's grandma and then to his parents home for a couple of hours.

At 4 o'clock we headed to my Aunt and Uncle's house where we had a family dinner to celebrate Father's Day and my uncle's birthday. Ava had a great time playing with her cousins.

Brent opening his fathers day present. Unfortunately our day was so busy I never thought to get a picture of him and Ava until it was too late. She fell asleep on the way home from Wade and Traci's at 7:30 and slept until 9 the next morning!

North Family Reunion (6/17-6/18)...

Brent's dad's siblings, children and grandchildren got together for a reunion at Crystal Hot springs in Honeyville, UT. There were a lot of family members missing, but it was fun to see those that were there . We shared Brent's sister Shelly's trailer and it was funny that Ava was actually scared of the trailer at first and had a really hard time falling asleep, and a very rough night.
